loosening up

every journey starts with … lots of circles? – who knew?

I’m left handed so right 1/2 are with the “wrong” hand.

some observations:

  • half-way through the first page, I was bored …
  • … but then … I wasn’t – mindfulness kicking in
  • pressure on the page was lower with my non-dominant (henceforth “wrong”) hand – as evidenced in the pics
  • I had the notion to switch from left-to-right drawing to right-to-left when using the wrong hand – which is interesting given left-to-right is already “wrong” for a leftie like me – i.e. pushing the pen rather than pulling and dragging the back of your hand over what you have just written
  • I was not tempted to “cheat” by drawing joined-up spirals/coils
  • I changed the direction of my circle drawing (clockwise vs anti-clockwise) much more with the wrong hand
  • I was not aware of my hand position being much different between right (left!) and wrong hands
