Jaws – Steven Spielberg – 1975
Another storyboard. I feel I spent rather too much time on the earlier ones so wanted to do something quickly with sustained effort over a shorter time period – two days in this case (which is quick for me). And straight-up drawing without the digital trickery. OK I digitally coloured in the sea, but in a very simplistic manner.
In previously efforts, I tried to stick to one storyboard cell per camera shot. But here I felt the shot where the shark appears needed to be split up to better depict Brody’s head movements and reaction. I was going to insert a big exclamation mark to indicate his shock but I think it works without one.
